Well, this week kind of sucked as far as exercise was concerned. I could blame it on good ole’ Independence Day, but in reality I was just a little bit lazy.
Sunday – Pilates
I had planned to do 2 or 3 videos during Bug’s naptime, but he decided he wasn’t taking a nap and screamed”Inna pay wit Egos!” (read: I want to play with Legos) for an hour. So, I did one video, then headed to the shower because I couldn’t take the tension of working out while listening to a screaming toddler. Thanks, little buddy.
Monday – Running
2.62 miles in 23:30 for a pace of 8:59/mile. 10:00 in the morning.
Tired – home from work late the night before. Hot. Humid. Tried to keep it slow, which was tough!
Friday – Crossfit. Kind of.
Warmed up with 3 sets of:
- 5 handstands
- 10 air squats
- 10 sit ups
Workout: 3 measly rounds of:
- 60 yard sprints (well, 2 60 yarders… the last one was 100 yards)
- 10 push-ups
That’s about all I had the energy for.
So far, this week isn’t shaping up to be much better. I planned on working out this evening, but the power went out at work today due to TWO blown transformers and we got to spend the afternoon moving all of the food from the line & extra coolers/freezers into the walk-in cooler & walk-in freezer and then filling every vessel we could with ice in hope that we don’t lose any product. Power went out at 2pm, and as of right now, it is still not back on. The power company is hoping for 10pm. Yay. We had to close the restaurant for the night. Double yay. (Sarcasm, obvi.) The thermostat in the kitchen read 93 when I left at 5:30. Needless to say, I was hot & sweaty and decided that I didn’t need to work out this evening as planned.
